~A COMING OUT CELEBRATION~
FLOWERS AND FRIENDS, June 17, 2020
I was a little nervous about getting back together with friends. Thoughts crossed my mind to cancel.
I did not go on my regular early morning walk this morning.
I ventured into someone elses neighborhood. Time slowed down for a couple of hours of sheer enjoyment. Our time was precious.
Today, I was surrounded by friends and flowers. The landscape was incredible. Balmy breezes scared away the Rona as we sat together at lunch. It was perfect weather to escape. Nature displayed incredible diversity in all her glory.
I recently read, “if you want to be more resilient and have more zest in your life, go outside.”
I enjoyed sitting outside for lunch with friends.
The sheer joy of breaking social distancing was exhilarating.
My spirits soared.
There’s something about seeing friends, and their seeing you, that elevates the catch-up to a special level.
It's about laughing. It’s about sharing. It’s about talking through the challenges. It's about just being in person.
I left with a spring in my step.
