THE NOSEY NEIGHBOR- Making the most of it.

The two chairs

~THE NEIGHBORHOOD TROTTER~ June 14, 2020
It has been my intention to tramp around the neighborhood.
There’s no better way these days to get the most out of my photo walks.
Neighbors are making the most of their out door spaces. It appears that many are re-experiencing the joys of sticking at home.
That sweet hemp smell is just my retired weed-loving neighbor wafting over the wall into our yard.
There seems to be a resurgence of victory gardens and flower gardens across the neighborhood. Staying home for an undetermined length of time have updated their outside spaces with water fountains.
What better way to add a calming effect but to add a water fountain.
Not only are they eye-appealing, but also possess a calming, soothing quality.
Something about the sound of water is so comforting and relaxing, I pause in my walk.

It’s peaceful and serene,
a welcoming ambiance of someones space that I get to enjoy from the sidewalk for a few minutes.
While people are spending more time at home, the landscaping industry is seeing a surge in business as I have seen more people are working in their yards.
Historical experiences during trying times have given us examples of how important gardening can be in our society.
There’s never been a better time to get the most out of outdoor spaces.
There they sat in the middle of a yard.
Stand with me as I imagine, those two dilapidated, weathered chairs, broken and unrepaired sat side by side, in an unkempt yard, with the remains of abandoned potted plants hanging from two dead trees.
In days long past and gone… Too often our imagination gets squeezed.
An average person might overlook an old chair because of its blemishes, but I was drawn to its untapped beauty and unknown personality.
There is just something so evocative to me about abandoned looks that makes me want to speculate on why it's in such a state and who sat there or used it in its prime.
My mind immediately begins creating scenarios to explain this that someone in time must have sat in those two chairs. The yard held promise. I saw the beauty of potential of what it could be. The age of those two chairs remains a mystery.
