Be alert! Be steadfast…
Let the beloved of the Lord rest secure in him, for he shields him all day long. Deuteronomy 33:12
“Knowing who you are comes down to knowing whose you are.”
“Let the beloved of the Lord rest secure in him, for he shields him all day long, and the one the Lord loves rests between his shoulders.”
Most of the time, I am writing for myself. In spite of myself, God should have run out of patience by now. God delivers these little sermons to me frequently. He often uses to chose my own words to speak.
Those little notes written to meditate on through out the day. Those posts, I have written long ago. Those words of which I marvel at. Those words that at the time reveal things of which were important at the time to me. Well, they come back to bite me sometimes.

Four of our neighbors lives are now gone, within the year. I've lost count of how many times the EMT's have been on our street.
2020 and 2021 will be forever the year of unknowns and perhaps that is good because to be in the place of unknowns is to know, the known God in a better way.
For you my friend, for myself,
“…let the unknown be a time to rest your mind and body from their striving and find your repose in the arms of the one who inhabits the unknown.” ~Susan VanderPol
Long ago, a very wise professor (Needham) at the college, I attended shared this advice to me as I was going through some of the darkest days of my youth, In the depth of my pain, in his closet size office, he said “Just rest in God’s arms.” (Paraphrase).
Though words cannot fully describe the peace I had from those very words, the image in my mind was of a child sitting on Jesus’s lap with his arm around me and telling me it was going to be aright. It was during this time, I began my sporadic entries to my life journal.
Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.” Ps.116:2
I often have another image in my mind of Jesus leaning over from Heaven and telling me, “I hear ya”.
