Communication and Alzheimer's | Caregiver Center | Alzheimer's Association
Communication and Alzheimer's | Caregiver Center | Alzheimer's Association One of the blessing that God has gifted to us is that of communication. There comes a time when the methods may change with our loved ones as they fall deeper into a disease that has captured their minds. It is up to us care givers to second guess and change our tactics for communication. It can be very frustrating and a challenge to get them to comply with the basics of life. It requires patience and sometimes it appears we are only talking to ourselves, however, we never know what is going on in their minds so choice of words is very important. Our words are just as important to them as to others. WORDS? WHAT does Scripture say about them? Eph.4:29 "Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear."
