Appreciating the moment: Today's blessings
Today's adventure, an hour in the billiards room. After todays adventure with Karl and Gary, I was again reminded of God's awesome blessing toward us in such simple, momentary, random occasions. Whatever your eye falls on can lead you to erupt in gratefulness. How gracious God is to allow me to minister to such a tranquil, content man, enjoying the company of two, Tom & Jerry type characters. Every day, life is inexplicable and full of unique unpredictable manifestations which tend to encourage us on to looking for the next adventure to come. Observing the two men having these interactive, enjoyable moments gave me great joy today. We chuckled as Karl was in the midst of planning a great shot and was just about to hit a ball, with cue in motion, and Gary reached out and grabbed the ball which was a far reach for him. We enjoyed watching Gary entering into the game. Do we ever thank God enough, for things like this? So many times we end up stumbling our way through care giving, we are reluctant to participate or even reluctant to receive offered help. Do we ever see it , the wonderful possibilities and potentials for enriching each other because we are looking...for what once was instead of appreciating the person in front of us? My goal in creating moments of joy for others never fails to create one for myself. So much for my random thoughts. I was blessed today by our adventure even though it culminated in an ocular migraine. Just mentioning because many behind scenes occur on our adventures that are challenging and occasional issues.
