LIFE IS A SERIES OF RIPPLES: At The Right Place

Romans 8:28, "Christians can rest in the fact that God is sovereign over everything that happens in this life. He directs events, He puts people in our paths, and essentially He enables us to be in the right place at the right time.
Proverbs 21:1 is one of my favorite Scriptures for reassurance when I am praying for God’s will in my life, “The king’s heart is like channels of water in the hand of the LORD; He turns it wherever He wishes.” If God can direct the king’s heart to “wherever He wishes”, then surely He can direct you to the right employer, to the right woman or man, to the right ministry, or whatever His will is for you. The key here is that your will must be aligned with His will or you will be frustrated."

“And once the storm is over, you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won’t even be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about.”
― Haruki Murakami

Emmanuel=God is with us.
"I don’t know if anyone else spends much time wondering why God loves us, but sometimes His love is a mystery to me. I know my inadequacies and shortcomings. I also know that God loves me in spite of them. Moses’ words to Israel in Deuteronomy 7:7-8 comfort me. He explains God’s love for them to the Israelites:
“The LORD did not set His affection on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples. But it was because the LORD loved you and kept the oath He swore to your forefathers that He brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you from the land of slavery, from the power of Pharaoh King of Egypt.”
Our might and importance have nothing to do with God’s affection for us. He just loves us. John 3:16 may be the most memorized verse in the Bible: “God so loved the world...”

 Matthew 26:38 Depressed!
" Jesus was depressed! He said that it was so bad that it felt like he was dying! He knows what it is like to be surrounded by blackness and darkness.

 He was hurting.
He was struggling.
He wanted comfort from his friends.
He told them what he was feeling and asked for their companionship.
Then He went to His Father, the Source of all comfort, and prayed.
He answered his depression and temptation with faith and surrender. He didn't try to mask it and put on a happy face. He was real. Afterwards, He came and found his friends asleep. Even in the midst of all this sorrow,
He ministered to them, and then He went and prayed again and again.
 He was strengthened.
We also are going to have some rough times, but let us follow His example and go to the One who knows the depths of sorrow. He will strengthen us and give us the proper perspective on the events of life. (Hebrews 4:14-16; 12:1-3) ~from a fb post on my timeline

“People suppose they may be followers of Christ and yet ignore the path which He traveled; that they may decline the unpleasant task of denying self and yet make sure of heaven. What a delusion!”~ Arthur Pink, "Gleanings in the Godhead”
